5 Features Of Android Lollipop 5.0 That You Will Love

Google’s launch of the latest Android OS, Lollipop 5.0 has come and gone. It is time to analyse the plus and minus of the new uprade. But for today we shall be duelly on the plus side of Android Lollipop 5.0. Outlined here are five features of the new Lollipop that will surely endear you to your new Android device:

Android Lollipop

1 Face Detection
This is not a particularly new feature but it is much more reliable on the Android 5.0 Lollipop. To activate this feature just go to System>Settings>Smart Lock>Trusted Face. Note: This security feature can easily be by-passed by someone with face similar to yours.

2 Better Battery Saver
Unlike other Android versions, Lollipop has a better battery saving feature. Once you turn this function on it will attempt to minimise battery usage by lowering the screen brightness, limiting vibrations, reducing data usage etc.

3 Guest Profiles or Pin Screen
Just like your window OS, if you care much about your privacy there is an option to create a ‘Guest Profile’ on the Android Lollipop 5.0 with which you can limit the access of any one using your phone and peeping around.

You can also pin a particular App on the screen and the App will remain functional and accessible to guest users while the rest of your phone remain inaccessible.

4. Double Tap Screen To Wake
My favourite time friendly feature: You may no longer need to press the power button to wake your Lollipop device, just double-tap the screen and the screen will light up.

5. Wake Your Phone With Your Voice
Another smart feature. You can wake your phone up with the embedded voice detection feature by saying the words ‘Ok Google’, simply go to Settings>Voice>’Ok Google’ Detection to activate.
