Why NCC And SON Shutdown Innjoo Lagos Office

The Nigerian Communication Commission (NCC) in partnership with Standard Organisation of Nigeria(SON), has shutdown the Headquarters office Of InnJoo Mobile Technologies in Lagos. The Office was allegedly shutdown due to sale of “Non Type Approved Handsets.”

This is happening just after the company had successfully launched InnJoo Fire into the Nigeria mobile market.

InnJoo Fire smartphones were later marred with battery issues soon after it launch. Some users complained about the phone not getting a full charge, others however complained about the long hours before getting charged.

InnJoo responded with a report, asking users to drain the battery to zero percent and recharge the smartphone to one hundred percent while the power is turned off. Apparently, that did the fix, but NCC and SON may have been alerted over the issue.

Yeye NCC with big grammar. What do they mean by “non-type approved handset? ” Does that equate to fake phones? When MTN and co are milking Nigerians die, they chose to be silence, only to wakeup over pnone default that is even common with Iphone, Nokia and even laptops.

Haven\’t you guys heard of product recall?
